The Power of Both: Building Human-Centered Transformation Through Coaching and Change Management

As organizations face increasing complexity, disruption, and change fatigue, successful transformation requires more than process alone and more than coaching alone. It requires both. Grounded in the global ACMP and ICF collaboration, The Power of Both explores what becomes possible when change management and coaching work in partnership rather than in parallel. In this kickoff session for the ACMP and ICF Carolinas chapters, participants will explore where the disciplines intersect, what each contributes, and why their combined value matters now more than ever. This session will also set the stage for an ongoing Carolinas learning series focused on practical application, cross-disciplinary connection, and the future of human-centered transformation.

She co-developed and instructed the graduate-level Personal and Professional Coaching Certification at Cambridge College and has spoken for IBM, ACMP Global, SHRM, ICF, and Babson College. She holds certifications in Prosci® Change Management, APMG Agile Change, and Personal and Professional Coaching.

    DESCRIPTION:

Coaching for Social Justice (CSJ) emerged in response to the national reckoning on race and equity following George Floyd’s murder in 2020. Bringing together a diverse group of leadership coaches, CSJ pioneered a collective learning model focused on real-life DEIJB challenges in coaching practice. The organization has since developed one of the first supervision programs dedicated to social justice in organizational coaching, offering both group and individual formats. Backed by experienced supervisors and recognized as a tax-exempt non-profit.

    WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

CSJ is committed to equipping coaches with the awareness, skills, and courage to address social justice issues with clients. CSJ aims to transform leadership coaching into a catalyst for equitable and inclusive workplaces where all individuals can thrive.

    Our Featured Presentation
    Belonging. Always, in All Ways!

Belonging is often discussed as a value. Rarely is it treated as infrastructure. In Belonging. Always. In All Ways, Dr. Aikyna Finch reframes belonging as a measurable, behavioral outcome in professional coaching. Moving beyond surface-level inclusion, this keynote explores how identity, power, culture, and systems influence coaching dynamics at every stage of the relationship. Through the A.L.W.A.Y.S. Framework, participants will learn to embed belonging into discovery, presence, goal-setting, accountability, and repair. This session challenges coaches to move from intention to integration, from neutrality to awareness, from performance coaching to human-centered transformation. Participants will leave with a strategic lens and practical tools to create coaching environments where clients feel accurately seen, deeply heard, and empowered to take aligned action. Always. In all ways.

    Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

    1. Define belonging as a strategic and relational factor influencing coaching effectiveness
    2. Identify identity, cultural, and power dynamics that impact psychological safety.
    3. Apply the A.L.W.A.Y.S. Framework to strengthen coaching presence and sustainable client growth.
